We trench where there is soil. We drill and inject where the concrete or paving is situated around the perimeter of the building. A continuous termite barrier/treatment zone around the building is recommended as essential.
Most zones last 8 to 10 years. A yearly inspection completes the management system.

The build
Which style of construction?
Queenslander
This style is built on stumps which termites can use for access. They can access even with ant cappings. We go underneath, then run a continuous zone.
Slab on ground
The zone sits against the slab edge. Paths and patios that cover that edge are drilled and injected to provide the best protection.
Highset
Subfloor where we can get access, plus the perimeter. Moisture and garden beds against the base are the usual bridges.
Townhouse
Shared walls and tight side access change the method but are still able to be protected.

Do I still need yearly inspections? Yes. Australian Standards recommends an inspection at least annually.
Can I do a Barrier without an Inspection? No it is not recommended. Inspections start from $297 and are a vital part of determining the health of the house and property.
Is it the same for white ants and termites? Yes. White ants and termites are the same thing.
Kids and dogs? The product goes into the soil, then it is covered. Keeping everyone except termites safe.
Will you drill paths? Yes where soil is covered by paving we drill-and-inject keeping the zone continuous.
Does insurance cover termite damage? Sadly, no.
